Medifly Healthcare began in Chennai in 2009 with a single conviction: that world-class medical care in India should be accessible to anyone who needs it — without the chaos, confusion, and inflated costs that so often surround international treatment.

Our founder, Manas Ranjan Nayak, had spent years watching families from Bangladesh, the Middle East, and Africa arrive in India for treatment, only to be passed between agents, overcharged for accommodations, given inconsistent medical advice, and left to navigate a foreign hospital system entirely on their own. Patients who should have been resting were instead translating prescriptions and arguing over hidden bills.

We didn't set out to build a company. We set out to fix what was broken.

So Medifly Healthcare was built differently — not as a referral service that hands patients off, but as a true on-ground partner. We meet patients at the airport. We sit with them in consultations. 2009
The beginning, in Chennai.
Medifly Healthcare is founded by Manas Ranjan Nayak with a single goal: to give international patients arriving in India a real, on-ground advocate — not just another agent. The first patients are families from Bangladesh seeking cardiac and oncology care.
2012
First hospital partnerships.
Direct working relationships established with senior teams at MGM Healthcare, Apollo, and Fortis Chennai — moving Medifly from a referral service to a true care coordinator with negotiation leverage on behalf of patients.

Expanding across South Asia.
